FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE by Wyatt Motorsports
November 12, 2007: Casey Wyatt
NASCAR Busch East Rookie, Whelen All-American Late Model Series, INEX Legends Series &
Pro-Winged Champ Kart Driver
Florence, SC- Casey Wyatt traveled to Florence, SC to compete in the annual Seneca Fall Classic. After qualifying came to a close, Casey had burned off the quickest lap time to secure the pole.
Early in the running, he settled into second behind the outside polesitter. On several occasions he pulled alongside to reclaim the top spot, but decided to save the car for the latter part of the race.
Just past the ½ way mark, Casey spun out in the exit of turn 2 to avoid a wreck ahead of him; he was hit by two other competitors. Race officials decided his spin took place after the caution was thrown. The damage wasn't race ending, so he assumed his position in second place.
Lap traffic and a persistent brake problem prevented him from vying for the lead position again and he brought the #29 Rogers Electrical Monte Carlo back home to VA with a pole and a second place finish.
Casey will be returning to South Carolina Thanksgiving weekend for the Seneca Turkey 300 at Dillon Motor Speedway. Wyatt Motorsports is currently seeking sponsorship for their 2008 Busch East season.
